The Game: A stunning new MMORPG and sequel to the beautiful Guild Wars 1, this is a game gearing up to take over the MMO market and take World of Warcraft’s spot as the world’s number one MMORPG. It’s not just doing this because it’s a game from a major studio and has the money to rival WoW in terms of advertising, the second you begin GW2 you inhale the quality. While the system requirements to run Guild Wars on the highest settings may be taxing, your average PC today can more or less run the game smoothly while still enjoying the pastoral beauty of Tyria (That’s the name of this high-fantasy world). It’s also interesting to note that Guild Wars II does not have a traditional healing class, how this will affect end-game is yet to be seen. From stunning visuals, to smooth, excited action combat, this is not a game to miss for the MMORPG fan. Developer: ArenaNet Publisher: NCsoft This game is probably the most anticipated sequel since Starcraft 2. There is a collector’s edition of GW2 out as well, it has some toy figurines and a bunch of extra concept art/game goodies, but, it’s almost 300 dollars. Only for the most hardcore of fans I guess. Why listen to me over bigger reviewing organizations like IGN, gamespot, G4, or gametrailers? Well, I don’t just review games from the eyes of a technical, professional reviewer. I also review games from the perspective of an actual gamer.
